A Room With a View

10, Sep. 2009

Sometimes you have to get rid of some clutter in order to rediscover something precious that’s been under your nose all along, but you’ve taken for granted. In amongst all the noise and disruption of having our windows replaced at the office, we’ve managed to find the silver lining to a chaotic couple of days. When we first moved in 4 years ago, we couldn’t get over the view from our west-facing corner office. Rusty old factory sash windows with distorted glass added character, but certainly did nothing to augment the view, and over time obstacles such as air conditioners and window scrims further impeded our prized perspective. Well, we are obstructed no longer. In between the removal of the old windows and the installation of the new, we are afforded a clean view of the Toronto skyline, and it reminds us not only of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful city, but also how some of the finer things in life are so simple they can be forgotten. Thought we’d share one of ours with you.
