So what kind of person are we really looking for?
You eat, sleep, and breathe design. You see the details in every restaurant and store you visit, every package you pick up, and every digital environment you experience. You ask questions, but only the good ones, because you know there is such a thing as a bad one. This isn’t your first rodeo – you’ve been solving design problems in an agency setting for at least 3 years, and have more than a few scars and some stripes to prove it. You are an Adobe Creative Suite ninja, you teach colleagues things in Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop that they should have learned years ago. You are a part-time artist, part-time ad copywriter, and full-time brand changemaker. You begin with sketching, and are consumed with creating and refining brands that engage, developing identities that demand attention, packaging that must be picked up (and purchased), signage programs that refuse to blend in, and digital media that jumps off the screen. Why? Because keeping up – isn’t enough, and your clients would all say, if prompted, that they’re better off since you started working on their brand. Too much to ask for? We think not. That’s why we want YOU. If you can work in isolation but love the dynamic of a team, get stuff done, radiate creativity and can apply it to open a can of whoop-ass on design challenges, and can boldly breathe life into brands with a combination of style and copywriting, then we just might have a job for you. You’ll need to be able to take a concept from idea all the way to “holy crap I just saw it on shelf/sign/screen”, but if you got this far we’re guessing you’ve done that before. And we can’t wait to meet you.
