So what kind of market-focused media planner are we really looking for?

If you subdivide your holiday party guest list into market segments, you might be our media planner. When you find yourself creating a spreadsheet to track all of your spreadsheets (complete with nested IFs), you might be our media planner. When you spend your shower time rethinking tactics, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI …well, you get it.

We’re looking for someone who understands the complexity of new- and old-school advertising media, including print, search, display, social media, and yes, even radio. You’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or communications, but you also know letters are only as good as the results you drive. As a skilled media buyer, you analyze and interpret market analytics to make strategic decisions about optimal placement for successful marketing campaigns…all before lunch. In fact, you’ve got the case studies to prove it, and you can’t wait to share them with us. You like to work quickly but with extreme attention to detail. You organize your album collection alphabetically (because vinyl!) and you are such a strong communicator people know what you need before you speak. You are highly persuasive in securing advertising space that ensures the maximum reach of your client’s campaigns, and contrary to what your spouse says, you’ve got valuable financial skills and the ability to manage large budgets. We’re not asking for much, just an obsession with target markets, a sense of humour, and a solid work ethic.

1+ years specialized in digital media planning and buying. You’ve got that good old, heads down, delivering the goods, turning heads type of experience at an agency or studio, taking ad spend results from blah to brilliant. If you know how to reach audiences, curate campaigns, and produce results, then it’s you we’ve been waiting for.

Hours.
9am – 5pm | M-F, but we’re creative types who know the best work doesn’t always fit so neatly in a box

We used to be in Leslieville, now we’re with you in the Metaverse, …and on zoom.

Responsibilities.

• Conducting market research and analyzing competitive activity and demographics, media usage, psychographic, and buying patterns to define the target audience and campaign requirements.
• Developing advertising strategies and campaigns with marketing teams to most effectively reach the desired audience.
• Sourcing and presenting audience data and advertising proposals to clients for feedback.
• Responsible for campaign development, management, and optimization within various platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Adwords, TikTok, Pinterest.
• Proofreading advertising material before launching campaigns.
• Works through all campaign tracking set-up and implementation before launch of a campaign
• Ensures strict adherence to client budgets while meeting client objectives
• Keeps a pulse on all media buys and is ultimately responsible for the post-buy results and ongoing reporting
• Supports team with key inputs and reporting for client discussions and updates team and clients on status of current accounts on an ongoing basis and elevates any issues in a timely manner
• Monitoring audience and media trends, practices, and new technologies and opportunities in the industry
• Other duties as required
