Remco is a Canadian transportation and warehousing company that is one of the leaders in the industry with specific expertise in fashion distribution. The company began as a family-run business over 68 years ago and has now has grown to have over 230 employees with facilities in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
Remco approached Jump, looking to refresh their brand image and bring consistency to their marketing efforts. Their business had evolved from primarily a ‘garment-on-hanger’ business to offer a wide array of transportation and warehousing services, and their brand no longer conveyed that. After going through an in depth discovery exercise to determine their brand positioning, we went about redesigning their identity. The new logo was created to project a faster, more streamlined look which reflected that aspect of their service. Their red and black colour scheme was maintained but a new, clean and modern look was created for the brand. The icon that stems from ‘R’ in Remco resembles a wing but also presents the two sides of their business – transportation and warehousing.
We then worked with Remco to address this point-of-differentiation in a tagline. There are not many providers that offer both transportation and storage services as a one-stop supply chain solution. This is hugely beneficial to certain retailers, particularly those coming from other markets who may not have established their own storage facilities. The tagline ‘Transportation + Warehousing. Better Together.’ was developed to capture this aspect. When both services are handled by one provider, it removes a lot of the issues and errors that can occur.
Jump worked with Remco to build this into their marketing material, stationery and website. The website in particular is an important driver of new business for the company and the new, robust site delivers more functionality along with a more modern aesthetic. The site features an assisted scrolling home page style, a full-screen navigation menu along with a ‘myREMCO’ secure portal where clients can track shipments and review other important info pertaining to their goods.
Remco launched the look for their company with resounding success – both internally and with their existing client base. It is a big part of their efforts to grow the business and expand into new markets.
