under the boardwalk

Partnering with The Boardwalk in Kitchener-Waterloo, we delivered a comprehensive design solution that extended well beyond space planning. Our collaboration began with the development of a full brand identity, including a custom logo, business cards, and a user-friendly website. The visual system we created reflects the vibrant, welcoming spirit of the destination, blending relaxed sophistication with everyday accessibility across both print and digital touchpoints.

Digital, Identity, Marketing, Retail

Once the brand was established, we shifted focus to visualizing and designing the retail and landscape environments. We produced a series of detailed 3D renderings to illustrate how visitors might experience the site year-round, whether shopping, dining, or gathering in community spaces. These renderings highlighted seating areas, planting strategies, lighting, and wayfinding elements, all designed to enhance the experience and support tenant success.

Our interior design strategy for the retail spaces emphasized warmth, clarity, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. We developed layouts, selected materials, and created merchandising guidelines that support both functionality and brand storytelling. Every detail—from finishes to fixtures—was considered to create an atmosphere that invites people in and encourages them to stay.

The result is a cohesive, multi-layered brand experience. From identity and website to retail interiors and outdoor space, we helped shape a destination that feels thoughtfully composed and uniquely local. The design ensures consistency across all visitor touchpoints, positioning The Boardwalk for continued growth and community connection in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.
