CLIENTS CHOOSE JUMP BECAUSE
OUR ENERGY IS
real,
OUR
critique
IS CANDID, AND OUR
follow-through IS RELENTLESS.
We pair strategic rigor with creative audacity and the operational habits to see projects through. If you want a partner who will challenge assumptions, champion the work, and make the process sharp, strategic, and a little daring—tell us what you want to change. We’ll design the brand work that gets you there.
WE MAKE BRANDS WORK HARDER.
Not louder or flashier, but stronger, sharper, and reliably ambitious.
For more than twenty years we’ve refused “good enough.” We push, refine, and rebuild until a brand stops asking for attention and starts earning it: clearer in purpose, smarter in strategy, steadier in delivery.
We begin with simple, useful questions. What outcome moves the business? Where do promises break down before they reach customers? Which familiar assumptions quietly cap growth? From those conversations we build plans that are practical and ambitious. We don’t chase trends for trendiness. We listen, prototype, and choose moves that unlock real leverage—whether that’s refreshing an identity, creating immersive experiences, launching a category-defining product, or shaping a brand that attracts attention.
We’re an independent, entrepreneurial
team of creatives committed to helping businesses grow.
Our independence keeps us agile, accountable, and resolutely on your side. Collaboration is central: we don’t parachute in with templates or egos.We partner as thinkers and doers—bringing ideas to life, sharpening them where needed, and amplifying what already works. Our mission is simple and bold: we build businesses by design.
We’ve built brands from first principles and nudged household names into fruitful new territory. Startups gain clarity to scale. Legacy brands rediscover relevance without losing provenance. Family firms grow while keeping character. Global organizations receive culturally fluent thinking that travels. Every brief is both a design and a business problem; we solve for both.
WE DISRUPT ATTENTION, not trust.
Your brand should cut through
clutter and earn belief.
Disruption only matters when it’s directional. That requires creative risks grounded in cultural insight and commercial sense—not novelty for novelty’s sake. We design assets, systems, and rules that scale—creative that lands on day one and still reads true years later.

We measure success by outcomes—clearer positioning, deeper customer loyalty, faster growth, and creative design that moves the needle. A varied portfolio sharpens thinking; different problems cross-pollinate smarter solutions.
Two decades of client work teaches a clear truth: great ideas need structure to pay off
IMPACT IS OUR CURRENCY.

Your brand is more than a logo — it’s the sum of promises you make and impressions you leave. At Jump, we treat branding as a visible business strategy: a disciplined process that uncovers what makes you different, sharpens it into a single-minded idea, and strips away everything that doesn’t serve that idea. The result is an expression people remember and a brand that can defend itself. We build brands for B2C and B2B clients across restaurants, retail, hospitality, personal services, food & beverage, alcohol, healthcare, sports, automotive, and beyond.
WE CRAFT BRANDS THAT CAN’T BE IGNORED.
We translate strategy into craft with obsessive attention to detail.

That requires honest stakeholder alignment, clear audience definition, and a rigorous view of the competitive landscape. From that work we craft a strategic platform — a concise positioning and promise that guides every creative choice. Simplicity wins: the clearer the idea, the easier it is for customers to understand, choose, and recommend.
We start by closing the gap.
between what you do and what your audience believes.

creative clarity comes through subtraction.
Identity rarely improves by adding; it strengthens when distractions are removed until a pure, simple expression remains.
We visualize with purpose and eliminate anything that doesn’t serve the core promise. The aim is badge value: an uncomplicated, instantly recognizable identity that customers want to display — the clearest sign they’ve become advocates.

Beyond systems and structure, we design the visual language: typography that finds a voice, colour systems that set mood, photography and illustration that tell sensory stories, and small moments of craft that elevate the ordinary into the memorable. We pair rigorous design thinking with inventive play to produce identities that feel fresh yet grounded, distinct yet practical. Visual craft is always built for scale and defensibility: original marks that are legally robust and protectable. Shortcuts like crowdsourced or AI-assembled logos often rely on stock elements that can’t be defended; we design proprietary marks with provenance and purpose.
Eric Boulden
co-president
Eric Boulden builds brands designed to perform where it matters most: in the real world.
As Co-President and founding principal of Jump, he leads the agency’s retail practice and steers its most impactful work, drawing on more than 35 years of experience in retail and restaurant design. His perspective is earned through decades of fieldwork, market research, and firsthand observation—insights gathered across North America and in global centres where food, culture, and commerce intersect.
At the core of Eric’s approach is a disciplined, human-centred process.
He studies how customers move through spaces, what captures their attention, and where moments of choice truly happen. From there, he designs systems that make those moments work harder. Extensive on-the-ground research—from San Diego to San Francisco, Seattle to Chicago, Vancouver to St. John’s, and cities including New York, Milan, Delhi, and Mumbai—fuels this thinking.
These visits become creative reconnaissance: observations sketched on return flights and details noted over coffee evolve into practical design principles that shape signage, merchandising, environments, and integrated graphic systems.

Eric views brand identity as a long-term business asset, not a one-time expression.
That ownership mindset allows him to distill a brand’s essence into multi-layered programs that can scale—balancing clear strategic ideas with the realities of execution. Along the way, he mentors teams, sharpens processes, and keeps the work anchored to measurable business outcomes. This approach has guided successful projects for A&W, Yum! Brands, Recipe, Paramount Fine Foods, Basil Box, the Alexander Keith’s Brewery Tour, Aramark, Yogen Früz, and more.
Beyond the studio, Eric is an avid golfer and engaged club member, contributing thoughtfully to hospitality, member experience, and major initiatives at his club. When he’s not advising clients or on the course, he paints in watercolour and travels, treating each new place as a live study in behaviour, taste, and context. That blend of practical experience and quiet curiosity is why clients trust Eric to build brands that are coherent, useful, and built to last.

Jason Hemsworth
co-president
Jason champions purposeful work that’s smart, useful and impossible to ignore.
As Co‑President and founding principal at Jump, he leads graphics, packaging and digital teams with 35+ years shaping consumer brands. His aim: make brands stick — to create products, systems and experiences that build engaged followings and real affinity.
He thinks in context. Jason maps where a customer is in their journey and designs for that exact moment:
Packaging that cuts through a crowded shelf, environmental graphics that support and elevate the experience, and digital touchpoints that turn curiosity into action. That clarity drives performance across categories — restaurants, retail, grocery, alcohol and more — and has guided major projects for Canadian Tire brands, Swiss Chalet, Labatt, Creemore Springs, YUM Brands, Garden Gallery and Cadillac Fairview.

Jason is both advocate and challenger.
He translates business goals into crisp briefs and practical guardrails, then gives designers room to take informed risks. He’s easy to work with — a patient listener, clear thinker and hands‑on doer — yet he’ll push back when a bolder choice will lift the brand. The outcome: design that’s daring but disciplined — memorable systems that scale, sell and build loyalty.
Outside the studio Jason refuels at the cottage and on the course — an avid golfer in summer, pickleball player and skier in winter — and loves traveling with his family to see behaviour and culture from new angles. Curious, restless and creative, he brings craft, commercial smarts and a hunger for memorable work to every project.
