bringing the streets of Tel Aviv to the heart of Toronto

When global street food phenomenon Miznon set its sights on Union Station, Toronto's most iconic transportation hub, our team was tasked with designing a space that would honor both Miznon’s Tel Aviv roots and the station’s rich architectural heritage. The result is a vibrant, immersive environment that fuses street-food authenticity with contextual design—inviting, energetic, and unmistakably Miznon.

 Restaurant, Retail

Miznon is known worldwide for its fresh, seasonal menus and the lively, down-to-earth atmosphere that defines its locations—from Paris to New York to Tel Aviv. Our vision was to translate that signature vibe into a Canadian context while staying true to the restaurant’s identity. We approached the space with a focus on storytelling, using design elements to evoke the streets of Tel Aviv and the dynamism of travel, all within the historic bones of Union Station.

Earthy greens, raw concrete textures, and graffiti-style wall art set the tone, capturing the casual and eclectic feel of urban street food culture. Located within a national landmark, it was essential to pay tribute to Union Station’s unique character. We incorporated subtle references throughout the space, nodding to the station’s railway heritage.

Miznon at Union Station is a celebration of culinary culture, community, and place. It's a space where the global meets the local, where train travelers and food lovers alike can gather to experience something fresh and unexpected. By blending the vibrancy of Tel Aviv's street food scene with Union Station's iconic architecture, we created a restaurant that feels both global and grouded—a true reflection of Miznon’s spirit and the city it now calls home.
